Emergency First Aid At Work - FAIB
FAIB Approved, EFAW (Emergency First Aid at Work) is a standard, 1-day workplace first-aid qualification in the UK. It equips nominated staff with the core skills to administer immediate, life-saving first aid to colleagues who are injured or become ill while on the job.
About This Course
The EFAW curriculum is highly practical and focuses on essential, life-saving protocols. Standard topics include:
- Roles and responsibilities of a first aider
- Assessing and managing an emergency scene
- Administering CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) and using an AED (Defibrillator)
- Treating an unconscious casualty
- Choking emergencies
- Managing severe and minor bleeding
- Dealing with shock and seizures
- First-aid kit hygiene and usage
