SA001A Overhead Safety Awareness
The SA001A Overhead Safety Awareness course is a one-day training designed to provide participants with essential safety awareness for working around overhead structures and equipment. The course covers hazard recognition, risk management, and safety protocols critical to preventing accidents in overhead environments. This training is ideal for those involved in operations near overhead lines and structures, delivered by experienced professionals committed to safety.
About This Course
This accreditation has been developed to ensure that supervisors and planners who require an awareness of ladders and poles safety are accredited to Industry and National Occupational Standard (NOS). This accreditation is aimed at supervisors and planners working in a telecommunications environment. This accreditation does not cover roof top working.
The course covers 3 modules:
- Ladder safety
- Pole checking and climbing
- Joint user poles
Candidates will learn about the different types of ladders and poles, how to inspect them for safety, and the correct techniques for climbing and working on them. They will also learn about the hazards associated with working overhead, such as falls, electric shock, and live wires.
